Write the Vision. . .

​Habakkuk stands out in the Holy Bible as a prophet who questions the Almighty God in the face of ever-increasing injustice. While he has quite a mouthful for The Lord of Hosts, God responds to Habakkuk with what God calls, and I paraphrase, "an incredible revelation." Sort of sounds like God said, "Since you've got so much to say to me about this situation Habakkuk, you can go tell everybody what I said." After communicating His intent, God commands Habakkuk to write the vision in such a way that others will be able to plainly see, and understand, and run with the vision.

God communicates with and embeds His prophets with visions and dreams, thoughts and ideas, and instructs many to make it public. That's another way of saying "publish it." I communicate it this way, because God was specific in telling Habakkuk to write it down, but making a message public is not limited to writing it down. It may be shouted from the mountain tops, it may be acted out, or demonstrated in dance. Whatever the medium of choice, it behooves us to follow the leading of our creator to fulfill what may be the very purpose of our lives, or at the very least an assignment crucial to said fulfillment.

So what are you doing with the vision that God has placed in your belly? What has God told you to do with it? Have you obeyed? Are you uncertain about whether it is a gift or vision that is to be shared? Over the next couple months, I will be adding to the Exhaust Your Gifts construct as I lead an exploration toward discovery of gifting and vision, as well as the media available to contain the gifts and vision that can ultimate serve as vehicles to share and publish the vision. Each week I will provide essential guidance to assist you in your journey toward fruition of your vision.
